- CHIME received a 2001 award by Organizers of Adams Morgan Festival
and Council of Latino Agencies.
- Channel 16 produced a City Line program about CHIME in 2001, aired many times.
- Washington Post columnist Marc Fisher included Dorothy Marschak in his Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23,
2000) list of DC citizens thanked for their contributions to making DC a better city.
- CHIME was featured on WAMU's Metro Connection and WCBY's Educationally Speaking
programs in 2000.
- CHIME was featured in the Northwest Current (Sept. 27, 2000) and Common Denominator (Dec. 4, 2000).
- The Ward I Education Council presented Dorothy Marschak with a Community Service Award in 2000
for CHIME's programs at Bancroft Elementary School.
- CHIME received a Community Partner award from State Farm Insurace Company in 1999.
